Realfagsdagene, literally “The Science Days”, is an event arranged by Delta, the association for physics and mathematics students at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The event will take place at NTNU in Trondheim from the 1st through the 4th of March 2018.
The goal of the Trondheim Science Week is to encourage and inspire passion for the natural sciences. We want to motivate students from all over the country to build their careers in science and technology, based on curiosity and fascination around both manmade and natural wonders, ranging from the origins of life to the exploration of space and the cosmos.
We have invited seminar holders from around the world, from Nobel laureates to popular “science youtubers”. Last year’s event featured cosmologist Lawrence Krauss and NASA ́s Stefanie Milam, amongst others. This year, there will also be an event featuring doctorial fellows at NTNU, as part of an effort to have the younger generation of researchers represented. In addition there will be chances for corporations and research institutions to present themselves in light of the research opportunities that they enable for mathematicians, physicists, chemists, biologists, geologists, etc. Our intention is that these companies will exemplify and promote the spirit of natural science, futureoriented research and innovation.
